At the 2008 DOGANA Winter Meeting at DOW, a new initiative was under taken by DOGANA in collaboration with the DOW faculty on the request of Professor Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor, DUHS. The goals of the forum are:
1. Collaborative efforts between researchers in USA and students and faculty of DUHS for projects initiated in USA. DUHS has all institutional support in place including an IRB and a department to support and monitor clinical research.
2. Research mentoring to guide and assist in developing concepts for research projects initiated at DUHS, grant writing process, collection of data and preparing manuscripts for publication. This will essentially be a mentoring effort from DOGANA members.
