1. Dogana Scholarship Fund Comittee
We (DSFC) proposed formation of DOGANA SCHOLARSHIP FUND Under DOGANA (DOW GRADUATE ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA) and Award 20 scholarships every year - $1000 each through the fund.
The scholarships will be given in two categories:
A) 10 - SCHOLARSHIPS for children and spouses of deceased and incapacitated Dowites and for incapacitated Dowites or Dowites in dire financial need
B) 10 - SCHOLARSHIPS / Qersa e Hasna loans for dowites who may use the Awards for either USMLE or interview process for residency in USA
We proposed to have Friends of Dogana Scholarship Fund displayed on the website with Dogana Scholarship Fund, who may contribute $50 per year. With 500 DOWITES members we can raise $25000 / year as an ongoing contribution per year for the fund.
Also can have sponsor a child of a deceased or incapacitated DOWITE (We will need to respect the recipient's PRIVACY and the information will be available to DSFC, Executive Committee of DOGANA and accounting, rather than being displayed in general).
Dogana Scholarship Fund Committee (DSFC) has worked towards the eligibility criteria and, after your suggestions towards the eligibility criteria and towards the setup of the fund, we made the recommendations to the Executive Committee of DOGANA and the fund has been approved.

Dogana Scholarship Fund is ready and will distribute awards by Winter Meeting 09 and there on every year at the APPNA summer meeting.
