DOGANA periodically arranges meetings for Dowites. Though these meetings provide a unique opportunity for Dowites to find old friends and make new ones, a major part of the meetings is spent on discussing DOGANA affairs; members are updated on DOGANA projects by various committees. Executive Committee members are present to answer any questions and take suggestions.

Initially Summer Meeting was the only US meeting held during the Annual APPNA meeting, however with growing demand, the concept of Spring Retreat was launched in 2004 when the first such event was held in St. Louis. Since then Spring Retreat has become a regular feature of DOGANA.

For many years DOGANA was trying to find a way to connect to Dow students in order to provide them with state of the art education and help them in their post graduation career. To achieve this purpose, the first Winter Meeting was held at Dow December 2003. Many Dowites from US and UK now collaborate annually with Dow faculty to arrange seminars, clinical workshops and career guidance sessions at Dow.

Furthermore, Regional Councilors are encouraged to arrange for Regional Meetings in their zones. Northeast meeting is now a regular fall meeting organized by the ever enthusiastic East coast councilors and fellow Dowites.
